Hi, thanks for stopping. I’m self taught and always in search for flavoursome, authentic recipes home cook and foodie. I cook practically every day and my husband, my best friend and love of my life is my most dedicated tester and critic.

I’m Justyna native Pole, adopted for a while Irish, and currently living in beautiful Brittany on the Emerald Coast, where we’ve settled nearly 10 years ago, among luscious fields of cereal, cauliflower, cabbage, potatoes and leeks. My husband and I love Brittany and the coast, long walks with our very special dog, discovering new restaurants and spots for picnic on the beach.

Brittany spoils us with abundance of the best seafood one can find in the world, fresh fish, crabs, lobsters, mussels, scallops and of course oysters, with growing beds stretching for kilometres for eye to see in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.

It is difficult not to want to devour such amazing produce.

I love cooking, learning and educating myself about culinary techniques and origins of spices and dishes, trying new recipes, regional, traditional, and also from around the world using, whenever possible, local ingredients. My culinary origins are from Poland but with ease I soak in and adopt tastes and flavours of places where I land in my culinary endeavours. What matters the most to me, is tasteful, flavoursome food made with love and intent to share. I intermingle Polish, Irish, French, Breton as well as more exotic cuisines in my cooking. On our culinary adventures I will share with you what to do best out of amazing ingredients as we follow the seasons and “travel the world”.

My curious taste buds are the reason why I grow my own vegetables in our small garden. I cannot imagine summer without our own grown tomatoes, cucumbers or salads and herbs. I’m always on a look out for something new and unusual. Gardening calms me down and inspires me to try and grow a bit more unconventional varieties of tomatoes and vegetables that are not always available on the market. This year I’m going to grow tomatillos, I love Mexican flavours and those should make incredible salsas, fingers crossed for good crop.

With a group of girlfriends, who like myself, came to France from different corners of the world and settled here, we meet occasionally, cook together, share authentic recipes and taste them while having fun of course. That is how I discovered genuine dishes from Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Philippines, Wales, Spain, Italy to name but a few countries where the girls originate from. Close to my heart are also Mediterranean flavours.

Here, I will share my recipes, and recipes from chefs and home cooks that inspired me, and if you are new to cooking, I hope, I’ll help you make your firs step to try new, or rediscover familiar tastes as we cook together.

Without further ado lets get cooking!
